The power supply cable should be plugged into the port on the back of the RØDECaster Pro, located next to the red power button.
Depending on the power supply cable available at your location, you may have to secure the cable using the locking mechanism to help it stay in place.
Step 2
Insert your microSD card into the slot on the back of the RØDECaster Pro.
Plug in the provided headphones into the back of the RØDECaster Pro (if they are not already plugged in) starting at port 1 for the first pair of headphones, and so on. Please only use the headphones provided by LPM.
Step 3
Connect the microphone(s) into the respective numbered slot. The headphones and microphone input number should match. For example, if the host is using the microphone in the 1 slot, their headphones should be plugged into the 1 headphones port.
Step 4
Press the red power button on the back of the RØDECaster Pro to power it up.
If it does not turn on, please check its connection to the outlet.
Step 5
To balance audio input and output, push up the faders to the second thick white line. This is called unity gain and is a good place to start. Faders are the sliders on the front of the interface.
Do this for each microphone being used, starting from the left-most fader as number one, and working to the right. *Please Note* the color of the fader button corresponds with a microphone cover color.
You can adjust the levels of your voice using the faders depending on how loud or soft you want to sound. The thick white line indicates where your voice will have the same level in the audio as you do speaking.
DO NOT adjust any settings on the touch screen.
Step 6
Adjust the volume for the headphones by using the knobs on the right side of the RØDECaster Pro. Start with a lower volume and adjust to a comfortable volume while speaking into the microphone.
Notice the color of the volume knobs will coordinate with their respective fader color.
Step 7
It's time to record! Go ahead and press the record button. When the RØDECaster Pro is recording, the button will turn from green to red, indicating the audio is actively being recorded, and a timer will pop up on the screen.
To pause the recording, quickly press the record button and it will turn from red to yellow. You will also see the timer pause on the screen.
To record again, quickly press the record button and it will turn from yellow, back to red.
When you're ready to stop recording, press and hold the record button until it turns from red to green.
Step 8
Eject the microSD card and upload the audio to your device.
Press the power button to shut off the RØDECaster Pro.
Please wipe down the equipment with a cleaning wipe when you finish recording.
